Welcome to Wild Kalmia!
This place takes its name from Kalmia Latifolia, the mountain laurel, the same flower I was named after. Both she and I are in our element in the spring, when she likes to bloom and when my birthday falls. She’s the state flower of my home state Pennsylvania, lovely but poisonous, pink and delicate but persistent and evergreen through rocky terrain and untamed forests.
I created this brand, this world, as a tangible realm to hold the creativity, spirit, and rituals that have grown with me bravely through many seasons.
I have found myself in lush vibrant highs, plummeting falls, coasting, falling, climbing…the thing that remains constant is a resilient and unbreakable root of imagination and trust that there is always a way, and some of our best days haven’t happened yet.
I imagine the roots of the kalmia pushing and meandering around boulders and harsh plots of woodland soil with a deep seated glimmer of knowing that around the most unexpected corner she will find a way to emerge, blossom, and keep growing.
The products and creations that live within Wild Kalmia are designed intentionally with knowledge and methods drawn from years of spiritual seeking, creating, playing, and studying witchcraft as it relates to the seen and unseen. My greatest teacher is the natural world and its patterns, forces, and secrets. There is no limit to the lessons to be learned and inspiration to be found there.
The items presented here are ever-evolving and particularly inspired by the seasons, both of the earth and our lives. They draw inspiration & energy from the pull of stars and moons, the warmth of sunshine, the freshness of rain. They live at times in the liminal, at times in the depths. Mainly, they are designed to alchemize and amplify the magic that lives within you.
All wandering souls, curious hearts, and creative minds are welcome here. Take your time, and create a ritual that has been yours all along.
